Born in 1985 as a long-term project, La Val winery is today an exciting reality thanks to its human team on one side and a highly modern production plant on the other side which, however, does not sacrifice the traditional elaboration of the wines from El Rosal.
The winery owns 80 hectares of noble native varietals located along the Miño River which is a privileged viticultural area in terms of climate and soil. The main variety grown in our vineyards is Albariño, but we have also Treixadura, Loureiro and Caiño blanco. All our vineyards are located in the sub-area Condado de Tea, where our winemaking plant is located but we still keep the original winery in El Rosal.
Our key point is that all of our wines are produced ONLY from our own grapes, something which is very unusual in Rias Baixas, so our quality is very regular every year, as we can control the whole process from the grapes in the field to the finished product.
