Part of an R&D project in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Bizkaiko Txakolina Designation of Origin entitled Agronomic and Oenological Behaviour of the Pinot Noir and Hondarrabi Beltza Varieties.
Vineyards: Vines over 20 years old located on the Biscayan coast (1 ha) and Muskiz (0.75 ha), within what is known as the Cantabrian oak forest, with loamy-clay soils of limestone origin located in areas close to the sea.
Climate: The proximity of the Cantabrian Sea provides a microclimate with lower rainfall than other plots in the province.
