Mestizaje Tinto

Mestizaje is the most affordable wine from the unique Mustiguillo winery, but that doesn’t mean it compromises on excellence in its treatment of the local Bobal variety.

Its name comes from the combination of traditional and modern viticulture, blending bush vines and innovative planting frameworks, as well as Bobal with other foreign varieties.

Mestizaje has an intense cherry red colour with violet hues that denote its youth. On the nose, there is an initial sensation of fresh, juicy fruit from the grape itself, and with aeration, a soft woodiness is added that integrates well with the fruit. On the palate, the attack is sweet and pleasant, with a magnificent balance between alcohol and acidity.

The tannins are very soft and round, gradually filling the mouth without feeling heavy. In short, it is a surprising blend of young vines and impeccable production, where the final result is more important than the varieties used. It is a wine that represents a combination of wisdom and balance between the fruit and the careful ageing in barrels.

In its price range, it is an unbeatable wine.
