The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are made in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Aged: This wine has stayed during 30 months in American oak barrels in an underground cellar from the 16th century and at a constant temperature of 12ºC. The wine is bottled and left to stand in the cellar at least two years before selling it. ValSotillo Gran Reserva is elaborated only in those years when the harvest had an excellent quality.
Deep red berry colour, with chocolate notes. Powerful, elegant, very aromatic, excellent bouquet, toffee, mint, tobacco, oak aromas, cedar, liquorice, minerals and with hints of spices. On the palate it is delicious, powerful, well balanced, with a very good body and full of sensations. It has got a very lingering aftertaste and it is very harmonious. It is an impeccable wine.
