Vi-Ve is a young red wine produced by Bodegas Valdelana under the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.
This young red wine is made mainly from Tempranillo grapes and a small amount of 7% of Viura. The grapes come from 40-year-old vines planted on chalky clay soils with pebbles.
This is an artisanal wine, made using the traditional carbonic maceration method, fermenting whole bunches of grapes without crushing them.
The name of the wine, VI-VE, refers to the number plates of the tractors and trailers of Álava, Vitoria-Vehículo especial, in homage to the farmers of the area.
